I’ve managed more than $100 million in ad spend since 2018, and lately I spend just as much time building AI tools for the businesses behind those ads.
I got my start building websites at Fidelity Investments and Molecular, then spent nearly 12 years as VP of Digital Media for the Boston Celtics. There I led an Emmy-winning content team and grew the Celtics past 9 million Facebook fans. Celtics 3-Point Play, the first Facebook app in pro sports built to capture fan data, brought in more than 85,000 fans over two seasons. I also coded the NBA’s first live-game chat and stats tracker on Celtics.com myself.
After the Celtics I became VP of Social Media for the UFC in Las Vegas, then managed multi-million dollar paid media budgets at Takeda. In 2021 I went in-house at Facebook, where I ran campaigns for its small business initiatives and led Facebook advertising for the company’s 2022 brand campaign.
As a consultant, I run Meta and Google programs for DTC ecommerce and lead generation clients. I’ve also done white-label retail media work through agencies including The Mars Agency and OpenMind (part of WPP), for brands like Purina and Mars Wrigley. On Upwork, I’m a Top 1% Expert-Vetted paid media consultant.
I never stopped building, and these days most of it involves AI. I make custom dashboards that pull a business’s numbers into one place, along with chatbots that answer questions from a company’s own documents and data instead of guessing. I also work on AI search and discovery, helping brands show up when customers ask ChatGPT for a recommendation rather than searching Google.
You can try one of those chatbots on my interactive resume. It runs on Claude’s API and answers from a knowledge base of my career history, including telling you when I’m the wrong fit for a role.
I’m based in Clearwater, Florida, and I founded the Digital Marketing Masters Club, which hosts networking events in Tampa, Orlando, Atlanta and Nashville. If any of this sounds like something your business needs, drop me a line.
