This site, peterstringer.com, is run by me, Peter Stringer, an independent marketing consultant based in Florida. This policy explains what personal information I collect when you visit the site, book a call, or get in touch, along with what I do with it and the choices you have. “I,” “me,” and “my” mean Peter Stringer. “You” means anyone who visits the site or contacts me through it.
I’ve tried to keep this in plain English. If anything here is unclear, email me at mail@peterstringer.com and I’ll explain it.
Information you give me
When you book a call on this site, I receive your name, email address, and your answers to the booking questions: your website, how much you spend on Meta ads, how your ads are currently managed, your role, and what you advertise. Bookings are scheduled through Calendly.
When you fill out a form on the site or email me, I receive whatever you choose to send. Forms also record which page, link, or ad campaign brought you to the site.
If you become a client, I’ll collect the billing details I need to invoice you. Payments are processed by Stripe, and I never see or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically
This site uses cookies, pixels, and similar technology to understand how people find and use it and to measure my advertising. That can include your IP address, browser and device type, approximate location based on your IP, the pages you view, the site or ad that sent you here, and actions like starting or completing a booking.
Meta Pixel and Conversions API. I advertise on Facebook and Instagram. The Meta Pixel runs on this site, including the booking page, so I can see which ads lead to visits and booked calls, and so I can show ads to people who have visited. The Conversions API sends booking information to Meta from my server as well as from your browser. That includes your email address and name, which are cryptographically hashed before they’re sent, along with your IP address, browser details, and cookie identifiers, which Meta can use to try to match the event with a Meta account. Meta’s handling of this data is covered by Meta’s Privacy Policy.
Google Analytics. I use Google Analytics to see aggregate traffic patterns, such as which pages get read and where visitors come from. Google’s handling of this data is covered by Google’s Privacy Policy.
Google Ads. I may use Google’s advertising tags to measure ad performance and show ads to past visitors.
Calendly receives the details you enter when you book a call and handles scheduling and calendar invites. Calendly’s handling of that data is covered by Calendly’s Privacy Notice.
Cloudflare Turnstile. Forms on this site use Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam. It checks information about your browser and device to tell people apart from automated traffic. Cloudflare’s handling of this data is covered by Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
Information I receive from other services
Some information reaches me through services you use to interact with me rather than from forms on this site. For example, Calendly records which link or ad campaign brought you to book a call, advertising platforms give me reports on how my ads performed, and payment providers confirm when an invoice has been paid. If someone refers you to me, they may share your name and contact details.
How I use your information
I use it to schedule and hold calls, prepare for those calls, reply when you contact me, and deliver and invoice consulting work if we end up working together. I use site and ad data to measure what’s working, improve the site, and show ads on Meta and Google to people who have visited. I also use information to keep the site secure, block spam, and meet legal and tax obligations.
AI tools
I use AI tools, including Claude and ChatGPT, to help summarize call notes, draft follow-ups, and prepare client deliverables. When I do, information you’ve shared with me may be processed by those providers. When I use AI tools with client or prospect information, I turn off model training wherever the tool offers that setting. I don’t use AI tools to make automated decisions about you.
Call recordings
I only record a call after telling everyone on it and getting their consent. If you’d rather not be recorded, say so, and it won’t change anything about the call.
Who I share information with
I don’t sell personal information in the ordinary sense of the word, and I don’t receive money in exchange for your personal information. I share it with the service providers that help me run my business: web hosting and security providers, including Cloudflare; Calendly, for scheduling; my email provider; Stripe, for payments; AI tools, including Claude and ChatGPT; Google Analytics; and the advertising platforms Meta and Google. I may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect my rights or the safety of others, or if my business changes form, for example if I form a company or join another firm.
One honest note: some privacy laws define “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” more broadly than everyday usage, and those definitions can cover advertising pixels and similar technology even when no money changes hands. If you’d like to opt out, see Your choices below.
Your choices
Cookies. Most of the cookies this site sets are for analytics and advertising. You can block or delete them in your browser without losing the ability to read the site, book a call, or send me a message.
Targeted advertising. You can control how Meta uses your data for ads through Ad Preferences in Facebook or Instagram. You can also opt out of interest-based ads from participating companies at optout.aboutads.info, or at youronlinechoices.eu if you’re in Europe. Google users can manage ad settings at adssettings.google.com, and the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on is available from Google.
You can also email me at mail@peterstringer.com and ask me not to use your information for ad targeting. I’ll add your contact details to an exclusion list in my ad accounts and won’t include them in any audience I upload. Pixels collect browsing data inside your own browser, so to stop that collection on this site, block advertising cookies as described above.
Browser privacy signals. The site doesn’t respond differently to the older “Do Not Track” setting, since no common standard for it was ever adopted.
Email. If I’ve emailed you and you’d rather I didn’t, reply and say so.
Access, correction, deletion, and copies. Wherever you live, you can ask me what personal information I have about you, ask me to correct or delete it, or request a copy of the information you’ve provided to me. Email mail@peterstringer.com. I may need to confirm your identity first, and I generally won’t charge for reasonable requests. I may keep some records, like invoices, when the law requires me to.
How long I keep information
I generally delete or anonymize booking and inquiry information within 24 months after our last meaningful interaction, unless I reasonably need it for an ongoing business relationship or for legal, security, or recordkeeping purposes. Client records and invoices are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Analytics and ad platform data is kept according to each platform’s retention settings.
Security
I use reasonable safeguards, but no website or email system is perfectly secure. Please don’t email me passwords or login credentials for your ad accounts, Shopify store, or anything else. If I need access to your accounts, we’ll use the platform’s built-in sharing, such as partner access in Meta Business Manager.
Visitors outside the United States
I’m based in the United States. Your information may be stored or processed in the US and in other countries where my service providers operate.
If European or UK data protection law applies to how I use your information, the legal basis generally depends on the purpose: responding to your requests and preparing for or performing a consulting engagement, your consent for advertising and analytics cookies where consent is required, and legitimate interests for things like site security and basic measurement where permitted. You can withdraw consent at any time, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
This site isn’t intended for anyone under 16, and I don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent me information, email me and I’ll delete it.
Links to other sites
The site links to other websites and platforms, including social networks and client work. Their privacy practices are their own, so check their policies.
Changes to this policy
I’ll update this policy when my tools or practices change and revise the date at the top. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
